CARL is Europe's leading platform for company sales. CARL focuses on advising small and medium company owners on their way to selling their company. This segment of owners is typically neglected by traditional experienced M&A boutiques.
With this problem space in mind, CARL decided to combine traditional M&A services with market-leading software to deliver the professional services of a larger M&A firm while operating at a smaller size. CARL’s strategy is to use software to automate the most time-consuming part of the process, so advisers can focus on the emotional side of selling a company.
One of the most tedious and unpredictable parts of the process for an M&A boutique is to originate new mandates. Until now, no M&A boutique figured out a scalable way to get owners to sign with them. This is why CARL decided to build its own product, CARL Kompass, to help owners get ready for selling and provide them with the right advisor.
My team launched CARL Kompass, an insight tool that:
- provides a digital company valuation
- gives curated advice tailored to the company situation
- offers market insights (number of active buyers, comparable companies sold)
