With this problem space in mind, CARL decided to combine traditional M&A services with market-leading software to deliver the professional services of a larger M&A firm while operating at a smaller size. CARL’s strategy is to use software to automate the most time-consuming part of the process, so advisers can focus on the emotional side of selling a company.
The buyer research is the most tedious part of the process. This is true for a traditional M&A boutique, but this is even more true for SME companies since there are no public records of the company and there is no unified data about interested investors in this segment. This is why Carl decided to build its first product, CARL Connect, around this problem space.
